Ropar Main Campus
A landscape of the evolution of mankind, the “Cradle of Civilization”, Rupnagar stands witness through the ages to the rising, falling and again rising fortunes of “Bharat” that is India. Rupnagar is a living testimony to the perseverance, continuity and longevity of a great civilization.
Ropar is the location of the earliest Indus Valley excavations in independent India. Excavations at Ropar (Rupnagar) have demonstrated that it was the centre of a well-developed Indus Valley Civilization with planned cities having covered drainage system (favourably comparable to modern drainage system) and streets cutting at right angles. The city of present day Rupnagar is said to have been founded by a Raja called Rokeshar, who ruled during the 11th century and named it after his son Rup Sen but its history spans a sequence of at least six cultural periods or phases from the Harappan times to the present day.
Agartala Campus
The National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology–Agartala Centre (Formerly RIELIT-Agartala) is the 11th Centre of NIELIT (erstwhile DOEACC Society), an Autonomous Scientific Society under Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India and is the 5th in the North-Eastern Region. The Initial Training Facility of the NIELIT Agartala Centre was inaugurated formally on 10th February 2009 at State DIT Campus Indranagar. The permanent campus of NIELIT Agartala has been constructed in a Govt. of Tripura allotted 15.00 Acre land, near Industrial Growth Centre at R. K. Nagar. The facilities of the Initial Training Facility have been shifted/transferred to the permanent campus and activities at permanent campus started from 1st January 2016.
Ajmer Campus
The institute was setup under the project “Setting of Regional Institute of E-Learning & information Technology (RIELIT), Ajmer”, approved by MeitY in Nov, 2010 and was renamed as National Institute of Electronics and information Technology (NIELIT), Ajmer in 2012. It has been a constant endeavour of this Centre to develop excellence in various area of Information, Electronics & Communication Technology (IECT). The Centre aims to disseminate knowledge on all aspects of Information, Electronics & Communication Technology (IECT) to the utmost user satisfaction.
Aizawl Campus
NIELIT Aizawl (Formerly DOEACC Centre, Aizawl) established in the year 2001 is located at Industrial Estate, Zuangtui in the northern direction from the heart of the capital city of Mizoram. The site spreads over an area of more than four (4) acres. Since the Centre is situated away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the atmosphere offers a congenial environment for a fruitful academic activity. This further provides an excellent option for the IT students and ITES apprentices with quiet and undisturbed learning environment. Extension centre at Pukpui, Lunglei was also established in the year 2013 and has trained over 3000 students.
The thrust area of NIELIT, Aizawl is Information, Electronics and Information Technology (IECT).
Aurangabad Campus
The NIELIT Aurangabad is co-located inside the lush green campus of Dr. B.A.M. University and its campus is spreads over more than 18 acres. It has about 14 well equipped laboratories and Mechanical workshop besides a rich Library, Gymnasium for students, Auditorium, Canteen, Basket-ball ground, Volley ball ground, Kho Kho ground etc.
Calicut Campus
Centre was established in the year 1989 (as erstwhile 'Centre for Electronic Design & Technology' - CEDT) with the support of UNDP, MeitY (then DoE) & Government of Kerala. The present infrastructure is developed in 25 Acre campus & houses State-of-the-art facilities, smart class rooms, IEEE online access, 1Gbps NKN connectivity, Mini Data Centre & 24 x 7 Wi-Fi facility in lush green scenic ambience in Calicut, Kerala.
Laboratories are fully equipped with the latest systems and development tools in the area of Embedded Systems, IoT, VLSI, AI, DS, Cloud Computing and Cyber Security, 3D Printing, Product Design and Industrial Automation. Centre's Library is stocked with large collections of reference books in the above areas. NIELIT Calicut also has fully furnished hostels (ladies & men's) in the campus that can accommodate around 250 students.
Gorakhpur Campus
NIELIT Gorakhpur, is a Premier institution for Education, Training, Research & Design and Consultancy in IT and Electronics. NIELIT Gorakhpur, formally known as the DOEACC Society, Gorakhpur Centre, is an autonomous scientific society under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. It offers training, consultancy, design, and product development services to small-scale IT industries and related sectors. NIELIT Gorakhpur also conducts training programs for entrepreneurs and offers accredited 'O' and 'A' level courses in Software, Bio-Informatics, and Hardware.
The centre has a total built up area 4800 sq. mtrs and hostel building for 70 students. It is now under the Administrative control of NIELIT , Govt. of India as per the decision of the government (DeitY) office Memorandum No. 15 (45)/2002 Gov. dated 29 Nov. 2002.
Imphal Campus
NIELIT Imphal Centre, formerly DOEACC & CEDTI, located at Akampat, Imphal East, Manipur was setup in the year 1988 and is operational since July 1989 at a land allotted by Govt. of Manipur on lease for 99 years. The prime objective of the Institute is to create skilled manpower in the area of Information Technology, Computer Science and Electronics and related disciplines for making available industry ready professionals as also to provide infrastructure to promote e-learning. The Institute is offering training programmes to improve employment opportunities and facilitate availability of quality IT manpower, which will lead to growth of IT industry in the region.
Itanagar Campus
NIELIT, Itanagar Centre is a unit of NIELIT, New Delhi, is an autonomous Scientific Society under the administrative control of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. The Centre is located at E-Sector, Near Shiv Mandir, Naharlagun, Arunachal Pradesh - 791110.
The Institute at Naharlagun has the prime objective of creating skilled manpower in the area of Computer Science and Information Technology and related disciplines. The Institute will offer training programs to improve employment opportunities and facilitate availability of quality IT manpower, which in turn will lead to growth of IT industry in the region.
Kohima Campus
As a result of the announcement made by the late Honorable Prime Minister Shri. Atal Bihari Vajpayee to the people of Nagaland during his maiden visit to Kohima in 2003, NIELIT Kohima was established in 2004. Since then, the center has been providing a diverse range of training and educational services aimed at capacity building and skill development in the electronics and IT domain, particularly benefiting the youth in the state. Operating from its own campus, NIELIT Kohima is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure comparable to leading institutions worldwide.
In addition to educational programs, the center actively engages in R&D projects, corporate trainings, consultancy services, and software development tailored to meet the specific needs of the local population.

Srinagar Campus
National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Srinagar/ is a premier training IT-HRD organization which was established in 1982, jointly by Department of Information technology, MCIT, (erstwhile Department of Electronics), Govt. of India, J&K State Industrial Development Corporation and University of Kashmir. The Srinagar Centre is located in the Industrial Electronics Complex, Rangreth on a 7.5 acre picturesque campus with a built-up area of over 33,000 sft, NIELIT, Srinagar commenced its training, consultancy, design & product development activities in the year 1987 from the industrial Electronics Complex Rangreth Srinagar.
